Solo Batik Carnival (SBC) is a carnival using costume based on Batik with various creations and models. SBC is expected to promote Solo potential so that tourists will be attracted to come to Solo and enjoy the beauty of art and culture in the city.
News :SOLO, KOMPAS.com - Four well-known legend in Java will be the theme to enliven the annual"Solo Batik Carnival" (SBC) 2011 which was held on Saturday (06/25/2011). "SBC activity this year is different from before, because it was held in the evening starting at 19:00 to finish,"said Head of Culture and Tourism City of Surakarta, Purnomo Subagyo, in Solo, on Tuesday(21/06/2011).
According to Minister Purnomo, SBC is the theme of the four well-known legend that the Java community, namely the Queen of the South Coast, Roro Jonggrang, Ratu Kencana Wungu,and Ande-Ande Lumut. "SBC is the route starts from the region to Market Pon Purwosari Solo,or Solo Mangkunegaran Ngarsopuro Region," he said.
